(Missable). A little bit about me and nails. Because I grew up with eczema, my mother didn't allow me to paint my nails. I went to private school the whole time, and we weren't allowed to have "unnatural" nails either. After school I slowly started painting my nails with varnish. Some were nice to me, others were annoying. The moment didn't last long, however. I worked as a pastry chef for at least three years. And you guessed it! No nail polish either. I got hurt and went to work at an office where you can use nail polish. My nail polish chipped almost the next day. and I tried different things to get it working. I've tried gel polish twice at the salon and it lasted as long as I left it alone. A month and a half ago it was my sixth anniversary with my better half and I was thinking. Why not treat yourself to acrylic? I made them and at first thought they were perfect. But the next day my colleagues and anyone who noticed my hand pointed out how poorly made it was. and then I began to understand. It was a whopping $90! I painfully removed my acrylic paints after three weeks just to not feel guilty for spending so much on them. Can I say that without any experience I did quite well the first time, heh. Since then I have followed a number of Pinterest and Instagram profiles for learning and inspiration. I never thought I would get so much of it. I looked at SNS which looks complicated, I looked at gel extensions like GelX but it's too expensive and not suitable for beginners. Then I started looking at Polygel and it looked simple, intuitive and the best. accessible! There's definitely a learning curve, but that's how it is. but with this kit is encouraged to practice faster and improve. This is my first experience of applying any kind of nail gel. And I think I've succeeded for the first time! I can't believe how amazing this set is. It has everything you need. You get 6 poly gel colors, top coat, base coat, 60 nail shapes (5 pack for 12 different sizes), this mesh nail guide which I'll try when I'm better hehe, glitter, filler and double End the tool with an appropriate size brush for applying polygel (I used 99% medical grade alcohol) and a nail pusher. However, the double ended tool's caps are quite loose and won't stay in place. A very trivial thing, but I still prefer it without a lid so that it works! I still can't believe how affordable this set is and how many sets can be made. This set is a fraction of what I would pay at a nail salon. and I will definitely buy all the colors when there are more. You can customize it however you like and I heard it's easy and quick to uninstall! Another thing I need to work on is the nail prep. I need to learn how to file and trim cuticles. But then everything will come in time! Three of my friends from Northern California are coming to Disneyland here in Southern California and we will definitely be getting a manicure using my kit! My sister and cousin also seem very interested in this set! :-) TLDR. it's amazing and i love it!
