For me it depends on how small the pants you want to fix/collect. If your button popped up and you're replacing it, then yes, that's fine. If your pants are too small and you're trying to squeeze in using them for a little sleep, you might have a little trouble. The buttons worked well for me, but when I used them on my husband's jeans, they didn't hold up very well. The buttons look like metal but don't feel like metal. I can actually press on the top flat part and they bounce up and down (which they shouldn't). However, I still like them and am again satisfied for my use
