Review on Fossil Gen 5 Julianna Stainless Steel Smartwatch โ€“ Touchscreen ๐ŸŒŸ with Speaker, Heart Rate Monitor, GPS, Contactless Payments, and Smartphone Notifications by Steve Collins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not perfect but what? Honestly, I love my Juliana very much!

Overall I like this watch and would recommend it to friends and family. Whether it's ideal isn't entirely true, but it does a lot of things very well. I love having the Google Assistant and Google Pay right on my wrist. It's so handy when you're checking, just bring your wrist to the screen and. . .Bam! You've paid your bill and are on your way without having to search for a card or fiddle with cash. I especially enjoy shopping in times of COVID 19, the less you touch your purse, wallet, etc. when you go for a walk, the better. The last smartwatch I owned was the original Fitbit Versa, so this was definitely a huge upgrade. I love that you can reply to texts right from the watch, not just 5 pre-installed options whatever you want to type! It's a bit tricky to send text messages on such a small screen, but honestly it's easier than I thought, you can even send emoticons! I horribly forget to answer people or forget my phone is still vibrating because my son is sleeping and completely miss people's calls for an hour or more or I was anyway! Now the watch vibrates on all my calls, texts, emails, messengers and snapchat notifications! Of course you can choose which notifications you want to receive on the watch, but I definitely miss them a lot less than I used to. I see a lot of people frustrated with the battery life and yes it could have lasted a bit longer (usually I can last 1.5 days on a single charge sometimes 2. it just depends) but honestly just like that one thing and as fast as it charges (at 100% in just over an hour) it's not a problem for me. My only complaint, and I was expecting it, is that the light pink watch strap that comes with it doesn't look new for a long time. I went with the cheaper option for a lustrous rose gold (red) dial and a less desirable bracelet as I'm not usually a big fan of link bracelets. I have rather small wrists, so they are always too big for me. While we're talking, I have a different watch strap, so it's fine. I don't feel like it's too bulky even for my small wrists and hands. It's definitely a big site, but not too big. As far as Wear OS goes, I honestly don't have much to complain about yet. Everything works pretty smoothly when paired with my Galaxy S 10. I ended up choosing a Wear OS smartwatch over Samsung or Fitbit because I wanted options for compatible apps, and I was happy with my decision. I found a wonderful app called Keep Notes that saves lives! I can access my notes, grocery list, to-do list, etc. from my watch, phone, or laptop because it's awesome. If I think of something to add to my shopping list while I'm getting ready or feeding my baby, I just quickly open it up on my watch, add my list, and get on with what I've been doing. It's nice to have a shopping list right on your wrist when you go shopping! So there it is, I hope this helps someone decide which watch to buy lol. I especially recommend trying this watch now, it's about $75 less than when I got mine a month or so ago lol. Good luck and happy searching for smartwatches!
