I didn't actually use a sponge but if it's similar to other e-products just use cheap stuff. I bought dusters and other e-cloth products and was amazed when I read what they did. It's just an overpriced microfiber that I could have bought at the dollar store. So very disappointed and not recommended. At least with regular rags I can wash and use bleach or Dawn when cleaning the kitchen. They just remove the fat from the pan without picking up anything. Leaves a film of water after drying
