I mean I had a famous brand that lasted over 10 years but it was huge and for me it stopped vacuuming. I wanted it to be small, tgT worked just as well and I live by it. I use scissors to cut to desired size but it doesn't matter. You close the lid by hand and press the buttons to open it when the seal is complete, but that doesn't matter. That works great. I buy large packages of chicken breasts and other meats and seal them for freezing. This is a great little sealer and well worth the savings compared to a well known brand. I would buy it again if it ever wears out!
