Having discovered matcha and determined to take my new luxury up a notch I was delighted to find these beautiful ceramic chawans . While I was drawn to the blue and white version, I didn't feel like it had many reviews so I ended up ordering one in each style. In fact, they all have a nice glaze, are beautiful and well made, and are the perfect weight and size for mixing matcha drinks with a chasen (bamboo whisk), but here's a tip for all water lovers: blue and white. reminds me of the beach! A perfect blue that fades into a graduated creamy white, like the sea on the sand or the sky depending on the angle you look at it. This strong association just brings a smile to my face and warmth to my soul when I reach for it.
