These shoes look great and after a small break-in period, they are pretty comfortable. For me, they started out stiff in the area just above the toes and the first wearing was annoying. And they hit my ankle at an uncomfortable place. But after two longer outings they wear Ok now.I'm not convinced of this zipper phase we're going through. Zippers are on a lot of shoes now. It seems kind of silly and unnecessary; and if the zipper malfunctions, you're out a pair of shoes. But, it's a look, I guess. The heels are some sort of rubber, including the part that looks as though it's made of blocks of leather. To me, this is a sign that some compromises are being made in order to produce a shoe that looks more expensive than it really is. So I'm not sure how durable these will be in the long run.
