Review on πŸ“· Sirui 3T-35K: Versatile Tabletop/Handheld Video Tripod with Ball Head - Black by Tim Larsen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A well-made tripod, which, however, tips over in portrait format with heavier cameras

As a table tripod, the "according to requirements" is a good choice. However, this qualification is crucial. Pros: - Very durable metal construction. I have a great Sirui travel tripod. This is just a mini version of it - Detachable center column allows you to lower the height for more stability (good for outdoors where it can get windy) - Compact - fits easily in a jacket pocket or very small camera bag - Legs with Rubber ends to prevent slipping. The head is hard and smooth; The locking knobs are very smooth and well constructed - Arca Swiss is compatible with quick release buckles. Disadvantages: - The head does not allow panning, when the ball is blocked. You probably need a big head for this. - Slightly unstable in windy weather with center column attached. Inside would be nice. The legs are too short for heavier cameras in portrait format. I brought it back because of the short legs. I have a Sony a7ii with the new Sony 24-105 f/4. This is a heavy lens. If I set the camera to 90 degrees in portrait format, the tripod tips over. A big minus for me, so I had to send it back. With small and light cameras like the a6500 with crop sensor lenses, I'm sure rollover won't be a problem. FWIW, I bought a Manfrotto Pixie (larger model) and there was no tip. I put a Neewer arca swiss adapter plate on a Manfrotto; It is now compatible with my Swiss Arca plates on my cameras. including quick release. Inside would be nice.
