I had my doubts that a non-genuine part would work. My wife was disappointed that the aux port on her Honda Civic stopped working. Seems to be something that shouldn't age so quickly on a Honda. Anyway, wanted something quick as her colleague was going to install it for her in 2 days. It seemed the right price, and Revane promised to deliver. The next day. Her colleague made great strides in salvaging the old one, but they were running out of time. So the next morning I checked YouTube on how to remove part of the console to get more space to work. I then managed to get the jumper wires out of the dash, tested that swap port, worked like a champ, put the wires back where they should have been and "snapped" that part back into the dash where he belongs. Reassemble the console. Happy wife = happy life!
