Our garage doors have an extra high opening under the door and the normal doorstop does not even reach the highest point to the ground level. I have to say that even this product barely gets to the point of stopping the door, but it does, so we're happy. If you have a very high clearance it may be worth taking measurements before buying as I was expecting it to be higher than it actually is (again it worked for me but with difficulty and it's only one greater distance than the height of a normal doorstop). So not that extreme I think). An added bonus is a small wall bracket to hold when not in use - love that - as our other (regular) doorstop always got in the way (we had to use it when something got stuck for work).
