We have searched a lot for backpacks that are comfortable/safe/fun when we are hiking with our cat. We wanted something breathable and cool so he wouldn't overheat. We wanted it to be fully enclosed but have the option to open a window so it can stick its head out. This backpack had everything we were looking for. Love the extra pockets so we can carry water and treats. That's convenient. There is a plank at the bottom that supports the cat. It digs into the lower back a bit, but if the straps are adjusted properly, it's not too bad. The photo was taken when our cat was in it for the first time and as you can see he is quite happy. He likes to lie completely on his bottom, sit and stand. He is only 10 months old but still has room to grow. My husband is 6ft 1" and I am 5ft 5" and we both found it fit our backs well.
