Design needs improvement!

My husband and I bought this carrier for our cat. We booked this carrier for an overland trip and decided it would be nice to be able to carry our kitty as a backpack when we went sightseeing. The product idea is great, but the design was poorly done. The bottom of the stretcher sat right in the middle of my back and after carrying my cat for a few minutes my back hurt badly. Best Bag for Airport Travel

I love this backpack. It was perfect to walk through the airport. Double straps helped carry the weight so my back wasn't too tight. My cat weighs around 11-12 pounds on a good day so moving around with her in a backpack was much better than hand carrying. The safety clips and seat belt clip inside also gave me the security I needed when walking through crowded areas. She's pretty solid overall, a little heavier on her own and with my large fluffy cat (approx 16lbs) she was pretty heavy but not terrible at all! As expected. she could sit quite comfortably. Not too comfortable for me or my 12 lb kitten.

We had a stroller, but our two cats no longer fit (the kitten turned into a mammoth). So, judging by the reviews, it seemed to work, but it all boiled down to a test drive. Unfortunately this will not work with our 12 kg girl. Due to the shape of the bag, its head is wrinkled at the top. If it was bigger and squarer to accommodate her head it would be better. We have searched a lot for backpacks that are comfortable/safe/fun when we are hiking with our cat. We wanted something breathable and cool so he wouldn't overheat. We wanted it to be fully enclosed but have the option to open a window so it can stick its head out. This backpack had everything we were looking for.
