Not soft and not strong. It was cheap and cheap. Made about 8 cars before just being tuned for engine use and didn't last long after that. Doesn't hold soap very well. Next time I'd spend the extra $5 to at least get the synthetic wool, or the extra $15 to get the EZ Detail wheel brush or the Speedmaster. - Ry That Detail GuySt. Ludwig, Mo
