I ordered size 8 usually 7.5 and size 8 fits perfectly so consider going half a size up. The fabric on the upper reminds me of Nike Flyknit fabric, very stretchy and sock-like. The laces look more decorative than necessary. After installing the SPD clamps, they are fully recessed, allowing you to walk normally without balancing on the clamp. I've only ridden once so far, but the sole is a bit softer than regular cycling shoes, so the foot can flex a bit when standing. I think I prefer that because my feet used to fall asleep in flat, hard shoes. But I can understand how it might bother others, so I'm deducting a star for that.
