The description does not describe exactly what it looks like when folded. The problem is that while it stacks, it doesn't actually collapse. Big difference. When folded, it's still too big to store anywhere. When folded, it's not much thinner than when it's open, and it's much taller. Opening it is also quite cumbersome. The sides don't open fully unless you actually pull them out. Young children probably won't be able to do this on their own, and there's no way to open it all the way without bending down and picking it up. So you end up with an overly complex, heavy stool that you will never fold. And if you buy that, there are way cheaper, prettier, uglier options out there.
