bad experiences with network products

Installation instructions were terrible. I would be surprised if a normal person could install it. For something that was supposed to be plug and play I gave up after about an hour. I then called their tech support and to their credit they had a live person who seemed knowledgeable enough to try and help. He went through about 50 screens, changed the settings on my computer and explained that the product worked. I went to another room, connected the device to the product I needed, returned to my computer and there was no internet connection. WiFi wasn't even on my computer anymore. I called my company's computer guru and he began troubleshooting the device. It disconnected the guru about 15 times and didn't generate an IP address and didn't accept the IP address manually. It was strange that the guru was doing the troubleshooting remotely. Plug in the device and my guru was offline. Disconnect the device and the guru will reconnect to my computer. The guru said that there are many reports on the internet that this device does not accept or generate an IP address. My computer guru has apologized for recommending the device and is currently looking for a device that I hope will perform better. much luck.

If you have WPS on your router, it's shockingly simple to get running.
