I have had the same LapGear Lap Desk in the past and found it very useful. I like it. It's roomy enough for my mouse and keyboard on my main PC and roomy enough for my laptop when I want to use the lap table in bed. But now that I have this second one, I can say with certainty that they have a slight recurring problem. The padding that your palms rest on will stretch and warp over time. That doesn't mean it just peels off the plastic, which wouldn't be the worst as I would just stick it back on. The soft material itself is moderately comfortable, but you'll find it blisters (so to speak) as it bubbles slightly around the center but not at the edges, so you can't just slip it back into the slot it's built into is without detaching . . . the whole edge up. A slight lack of bubbly foam in the wrist area isn't a deal breaker. Overall, I would still recommend this laptop. It's not that expensive (at least when I bought it) and does its job well.
