If this is your first time using a microscope or you last used a microscope in high school, this will do for you. If you're buying this for your child to get them interested in science, this is a great starter. It looks and feels quite sturdy and of good quality. It does the job very well. I like that it comes with a carrying case. The phone adapter is definitely a big plus. I have nothing to complain about and would recommend it.
