The ceiling fan looks good but Westinghouse customer service is lacking!

I was pleasantly impressed with the look and quality of the ceiling fan when it arrived. Since it needed to be installed at a height of 13 feet in our entryway, I hired an electrician. He installed it in about 90 minutes, including a metal ceiling fan junction box. Before the electrician left, we went over the console - fan speed and light. Works perfectly! Now the problem is when I'm more than a few feet away from the ceiling fan the remote doesn't work. When I wave the remote control around, it may work intermittently. The light button works better than the fan speed buttons or a switch. I turned to the Westinghouse website for help. Now I sent it to their customer support on two requests and got an automated reply that someone should get back to me within 3 business days. Several weeks have passed and no one has contacted me. I understand we are going through a difficult time, but Westinghouse should change their auto reply message or contact me. I can live with the ventilator as it is now and I understand that whatever Westinghouse can do for me will require me to pay more money to have someone replace the remote transmitter in the ventilator itself. But as it stands I would never knowingly purchase any other Westinghouse product due to the lack of customer service.
