Review on Honeywell Ceiling Fans 50690-01 Bonterra: Sleek 52-Inch Matte Black Fan for Effortless Cooling by Eddie Sanchez

I really like the look of this fan. It really fits into my interior and looks great. I especially like the bright cover. cool I have a studio so I use this fan in my bedroom and hallway at the same time. I was thrilled to find a second remote control at Lowe's so I could keep one in a bracket on the wall by my front door and the other on my bedside table to control the fan and/or lights without getting out of bed climb. Remote control. To be honest, I found the "Leave" function silly at first and couldn't understand why anyone would need it! Well, let me just tell you. THAT IS AMAZING! I use it at least once a day! I squeeze it before I leave and it gives me enough time to get everything I need when I walk out the door and I use it A LOT before bed. I just really appreciate being able to press the button and turn on the light while I'm laying out all my pillows, getting the TV remote, etc, and then it goes off by itself when it's convenient for me and I don't want to Do it. move again to turn off the light. MARVELOUS! I am thrilled and will buy a fan with only this function in the future. Who knew!? Haha I took off a star because like many others the listing says it can be ceiling mounted and the instructions clearly contradict that. My dad never figured out how to do it, but at least it worked out fine. I have low ceilings so it's a bit uncomfortable but I'm short so it's ok. If I had to install it myself I would probably deduct one more star. It took my dad a very long time to finally finish it and I don't think he will ever help me install another one. That part of things is out of my reach, but he definitely struggled and kept grumbling that he had never installed anything like this before. I'm not sure if the remote control receiver was the only area of frustration. but I CAN tell you he would forgo it and just tape/tape it to the outside of the device! I've seen a few other reviews also reporting issues in this area and I can certainly confirm what I've seen and heard - it was a nightmare to install there and the instructions weren't on that part of things Well .
