The primary scroll offers two modes: the standard scroll and a "infinite, fast" mode in which the wheel will continue to spin indefinitely once it has been started. Scrolling between modes can be difficult if you have weak thumbs or are easily startled. You're going to have to adjust. Some benefits: workmanship, and quality of the material The mouse seems to be made of high-quality materials and was not manufactured on the cheap. Arguments against it: Scrolling software with a convenient side button When working in Mac OS, I like to use a mouse. The mouse's scroll settings, side buttons, etc., are managed in a different app. It's possible, for example, to tailor your system's configuration according to each program you use. When you put your MacBook to sleep, it always returns to its factory defaults. The settings are always reset and the scroll function is disabled whenever a non-tray application is launched. Just starting up the program makes no difference. The launch of mission control, for instance, was programmed to occur whenever I pressed a side button using the Logitech software. When the laptop lid is closed and opened again, the side button serves as a Command + Tab shortcut (switch to the last window). Nothing will change if you relaunch the program with the same preferences. The three Macs I used for testing were identical. On Windows, I haven't had any issues.
