I've been using network and internet radio since the mid 70's and I know that shortwave isn't what it used to be. However, there are still some countries that broadcast on shortwave and point their signals towards the United States. I was hoping to hear these signals but this Prunus L-238 cannot record anything on HF. I live on the West Coast, just 90 miles from the Pacific Ocean, and it's relatively easy to get radio signals here. I went in, I went out, I went out into a flat field, I used an outside antenna - not shortwave, no matter what time of day or night I tried. The AM and FM signals are great - good and strong, but this little radio doesn't work on HF.
