Not the North American version of the package but can play US games

This listing is for the Malaysian/Singapore packaging of this product, NOT the North American packaging. Although technically it could be considered an "American" version of the console as it plays American games, it is NOT a North American console with North American packaging. Based on some other recent reviews, it appears that only Malaysian/Singaporean packaging from Revain verified sellers is currently available at Revain. when it was still in US stores. You will receive: - 1 brand new NEW 3DS capable of playing games for the North American region (so it's technically the "US" version) - two sets of faceplates (Charizard and Blastoise) - red and blue copies, preinstalled on a micro card SD they come with. You will NOT receive: - Home theme download codes (they only come with NA packaging, IS a guarantee, it's just not valid outside of Singapore or Malaysia) - AC adapter (this is new for the NEW 3DS and NEW 3DS XL from Nintendo, This wasn't a problem for me as I'm an original 3DS and can use the adapter with this console, but if you're new to Nintendo Holds you'll need to buy an AC adaptor). It still works for US consumers as the system will play US games, just missing some of the things advertised in the description due to the different region packaging and the Nintendo warranty (which allows you to upgrade Nintendo to your DS send if it breaks ) is invalid in the States. It was a shame not to receive the NA themed and warranty package to use with Nintendo of America, but the console itself works with my games and arrived in good condition. Condition. This 3DS is great for those with small hands who don't like the gigantic size of the NEW 3DS XL. I also love how portable this version is (as it's the same size as the original 3DS model and fits easily in a bag) and the bezels are super cool. Red and Blue are classic games and I would love to play them again. The biggest downside I have is that the back bezel is screw down and you have to remove the back of the system to swap out the microSD card. Unless you want a system that can play US 3DS games and you don't like the size of the 3DS XL (like me) or need custom bezels, this product isn't worth the $330 price tag and You should just buy the 3DS XL from your local Gamestop/Target/etc and spend $20 for Red/Blue in the online store; You'll save about $100 to spend on game purchases. As for the pictures, it looks like the seller covered all parts of the region (Malaysia/Singapore) with Sonic Boom stickers; I didn't put them on the box.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Boring packaging
