Thick soft leather seems very durable
I'm sure it carries the 101 year guarantee, the leather is soft, durable, thick and medium brown. Great bag for more than just pens and pencils. I use it to store small items like lip gloss, nail clippers, tissues, etc. in my large purse so they don't get lost. Great bag! Very satisfied.
