Review on ⚡️ Klein Tools NCVT-3 Voltage Tester: Dual Range Non-Contact Pen with AC Testing & Built-in Flashlight by Gary Ferguson

I like the progressive LED display from low to high voltage and the beeper comes in handy when you can't get a clear picture from the LED display. The built-in flashlight is a plus and the device feels solid. I've already dropped it about 5 feet onto concrete with no damage. Although it can distinguish between the hot and neutral sides of an outlet, it does not replace a plug tester in an outlet to indicate messed up wires, missing grounds, etc. This was helpful to me in identifying live and abandoned handle and pipe wiring. It is sensitive enough to work with 12V landscape lighting. These testers can only detect voltage in AC circuits, therefore this tool will not work for DC systems such as those used in vehicles.
