The installation was easy for me. I wish it had clips like some of the others, but I don't take this item in and out of the car. It's strong enough to support my purse (I've included a photo of my purse here) and the weight of my dog's head resting on the purse. He loves to put his head on my purse when we ride. I also like that it serves as a barrier for my dog. Since installing this item, my dog has not attempted to jump into the front seat. I bought 2 this time. Once for my girlfriend and once for my mother. I love the fact that I never have to put my bag on the floor or worry about the entire contents falling out when it rolls off the seat. My wallet stayed in place on every trip!
