Review on ๐Ÿšฃ Watersnake T18 ASP - Powerful 18 Pound Thrust 12v Electric Saltwater Trolling Motor with Transom Mount by Bryan King

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very light and fast enough for a kayak

Installed on a Hobie Mirage after trimming the stock and making my own XPS foam cartridge plug with sheet metal reinforcement (Hobie is not shipping parts due to quarantine). 6.3 km/h at high speed (18 lb model) according to GPS. Low did not measure. Also, I used a 36v LifePO4 battery from my DC/DC converter e-bike and it worked really well. The 500 watt hour battery lasts more than 4 hours at high speed. Added a waterproof connector that also functions as a remote switch on the transducer. The only annoying thing is that when the motor is removed, the support sometimes stays in a horizontal position and does not go through the hole. I solved this problem by keeping a flat metal ruler nearby and sliding it behind the insert to depress the blocked prop by rotating it 90 degrees.
