Review on HydraPak Flux Collapsible Water Bottle For Backpacking (1 Liter) - BPA-Free, Lightweight, Twist-Off Cap - Malibu Blue by Lance Jenkins

Amazing concept but durability isn't there.

I had this for about 3 months and used it daily as a regular bottle. I'd keep it in my car, use it for working out and never took advantage of its ability to compress itself once emptied. Well, there is this ring at the top around the mouth piece that creates a seam with the rest of the bottle and after a couple of months of use, it started to have these little crack like holes form. It is now useless and leaks constantly. I have no recollection of puncturing it or doing anything with it to cause it. I think the integrity just diminished. I wouldn't recommend it for that reason. If they can make it more durable, it's great to pair with a 1.5L bladder from the same brand which I use in my pack.

Pros
  • BAIL HANDLE - Flexible handle for comfortable carrying, quick attachment, and filling in a lake or river. When empty you can flatten and roll up in the handle for space saving storage.
Cons
  • The thin plastic may puncture or tear easily if not handled carefully
