We needed something that folds very flat and this little guy nailed it. Most importantly, it is VERY stable and durable. I weigh 180lbs/82kg/13st and feel perfectly confident standing on it - I'm sure it can support over 200lbs/91kg/14st. It has stable feet that don't slip and grip on stairs is good in shoes, slippers or barefoot. It's also very light. So if you're injured or not used to carrying/moving something like this, this shouldn't be a problem for you. I'm pretty sure a kid could take this, no problem. A WARNING: SAVE YOUR FINGERS. If you grab the top step with your fingers and open it quickly, you will pinch your fingertips and injure yourself. Open it slowly the first time so you can see what I mean - you'll save yourself ice packs and groans. The only thing that disappointed me was that it had a few small scratches on the surface as if it had been hit a bit before packing. They were minor cosmetic items, nothing structural, not even enough to contact the maker; But for $70 it really should be perfect, which is why my rating is 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise it is aesthetically very good: clean lines and no annoying parts hanging from it. I recommend - it's easy to hide and easy to get when needed. Perfect for getting into the closets to the ceiling.
