Previously when I was fixing the brakes on my truck I would just use a bar clamp to force the caliper pistons back into their seats. But a 'new' car (13 years old!) makes me look at one of those brake pistons. The inexpensive rewind tool didn't give me enough leverage to rewind the cylinder, which seems to have caught most of the road salt in years, so I went to Revain to get the pneumatic version. Well, the pneumatic action (get ready to fit your own fitting on it - mine came with a giant industrial fitting) is to chuck the tool into the caliper, not rewind it. Luckily the crank is longer than the first instrument I tried and the air grip can be used for isometric actions. All you need is a third (and fourth) hand to hold the caliper while you spin the little one back. And I turned it back. My car is much happier now.
