To be honest I didn't know what to expect from them. I don't do much with my hair. I was surprised because I expected cheap stuff. The underside of them doesn't look pretty but isn't visible. They are metal and one has a metal ball on the end and the other has a rounded ridge so they don't dig into the scalp. One has two thin metal bars on the side that are welded together at the end and a rounded bar. covers the ends. At the top, the structural detail is welded to metal rods. There are rhinestones forming an X shape with imitation pearls in the center where the open ends of the crosses meet and slightly smaller imitation pearls above and below the center of the crosses. The forms are uniform. Rhinestones reflect a lot of light. Faux pearls have a beautiful finish. The other has a metal rod with a ball welded to the end. The decorative piece is welded to the bar at the top. The decorative element is a tendril with flowers and leaves. The flowers consist of 6 rhinestones, one of which is in the center and the rest are as petals. The leaves have a rhinestone in the center and the metal has small dots that make it more textured and reflective. They're really cute, but I found them a little cozy. This can cause them to hurt some people, so wrapping something soft around the ends can help. Adjusting by pulling on the temples can cause the welds to come loose. So be careful if you want to try to open them a little, or if you or the user tend to put them on carefully instead of taking them off. When I wear headbands, I place the ends a little further back than right behind my ears. In any case, this is a sensitive area for me and sunglasses and a headband can cause me a lot of pain. All in all it's really cute. This is costume jewellery, not real jewellery, so they don't have the same quality as real jewellery. They are perfect for adding a little something extra to your hair for special occasions without breaking the bank.
