Wow, this thing was way faster than I expected. I recently updated my camera and the new one supports UHS-II cards. At the same time, my internal USB 3 card reader (UHS-I only) failed completely. My home system had a USB 3.1 front panel (Type A and Type C) connected to the MB via SATA Express, so I finally installed it. Plug this little guy into the Type-A port and zoom in. While I was looking for an internal replacement reader that supports UHS-II, I couldn't find one - at least one that people would be happy with. It works great now and you can't beat the price. DO NOT RECOMMEND, I need to change my rating. The product worked inconsistently on my PC, but then completely hung up the USB ports on my Mac Mini M1. Nothing plugged into a USB port worked until I unplugged it and everything was back to normal. I don't have time to find out why, I just bought another device and it worked fine.
