Best: Memory card accessories

What I don't like: Must use a USB-C adapter and I'd prefer an adapter with a few inches of cord (I use my laptop a lot, literally, I have it on my lap and if a hard accessory is plugged into the mains you'll be in trouble.I bought this one but the price was right.All I really care about is if it reads my SONY TOUGH SD cards - YES, it does it reads/writes fast? YES. According to the BlackMagic Drive Speed Test on my 2017 MacBook Pro, it reads raw files from the card at around 260MB/s and writes…

Convenient way to transfer files

These USB card readers help me transfer photos from different devices/cameras to my laptop for backup and printing. I've always found it very inconvenient to connect my cellphone to my laptop to transfer photos while leaving the phone tethered for too long. Now I can take out my SD card and plug straight into a USB card reader to transfer everything and my phone is still free to use. I also love that I can take micro SD cards from my cameras and transfer my photos without having to rummage…

Scratched my SD cards.

This card definitely runs at UHS-II speed. I haven't done any scientific testing, but it can transmit the fastest UHS-I speeds of 90Mbps and works much faster with my Sony TOUGH (UHS-II) card. The biggest problem I had was that it scratched my Sandisk cards as shown in the photo. It's also starting to scratch my TOUGH card, but not as much as my other cards. Cheap and Fast - Updated

Wow, this thing was way faster than I expected. I recently updated my camera and the new one supports UHS-II cards. At the same time, my internal USB 3 card reader (UHS-I only) failed completely. My home system had a USB 3.1 front panel (Type A and Type C) connected to the MB via SATA Express, so I finally installed it. Plug this little guy into the Type-A port and zoom in.
