I used some of these boxes in a few sizes to enclose some of the projects I built for clients. I found them easy to work with and easy for my laser cutter and machining tools to cut and engrave. For engraving, I had to add a masking layer to allow easy use of high contrast paint to make the engravings stand out but the masking sheets stuck well to the boxes. The only drawback I saw to this design is that there is no 'top' without holes near the corners to present a more finished look. I solved that by making decorative pegs to hide the screw holes. There is very little inside to support internal elements, so I had to make inserts to hold all the circuit boards and the like, but that made the whole thing more serviceable so I actually like that better now.
