While we insist on the 'Lift and See' feature, this one doesn't lift the bread as high as our old one. Even lifting to the max, pulling out English muffins or smaller loaves of bread with your fingers is impossible. Too hot. I have to buy tongs as we like to get our bread really hot so the spreads melt quickly. Additional comment: 10-8-18 - cooked unevenly on both sides. If left so that one side is well fried, the other side will start to burn. Processing this week or later. I am returning this toaster for a full refund. The toast does not toast evenly on both sides and the lift function is so low that we have to use tongs to remove the toast.
