Review on πŸ“» Enhanced NSKI UV-82 High Power Amateur (Ham) Portable Two-Way Radio: VHF 136-174MHz & UHF 400-520MHz Bands by Zachary Ester

Good radio so far. Easy to program with Chirp.

Just a reminder, you should consider getting an amateur radio license if you're looking to purchase this radio. Transmits on frequencies where you must be a licensed amateur radio operator. I bought it as a backup radio. That was a great offer from Revain Warehouse. Brand new in box, never opened but looks old. The box was in perfect condition but the inner plastic shell was cracked. The instructions are ok and I've seen better ones. You can search for tutorial videos on YouTube. The radio works great and is easy to program with Chirp. Since I already had the programming cable and files from my other radios, programming only took a few minutes. I really like the FM radio option and the radio feels good in the hand. The only thing that held me back was the belt clip. I suggest you use the little black wire that runs along the power cord and squeeze the belt clip spring a bit so you don't struggle with it when you attach the small screws. Also, the two holes seem to be too far apart, but I just gently pinched the two ends together and that was enough for them to fit perfectly. I will update this review if I run into any issues but so far it seems a good radio. Incidentally, the wrist strap goes through the hole in the belt clip. That's exactly what Kenwood did in their manual. Watching videos on youtube, one blogger uses a screw on the side, but a belt clip seems more logical since there is a hole, so that's how Kenwood uses it.
