Would definitely recommend to family, work, friends

Works like a champ! I had no problems with the device. Programming was easy, operating the device was easy for everyone! I am very happy

Matt and flammable

DO NOT BUY. First, you don't see any daylight at all, and second, they nearly set my truck on fire after the LEDs started sparking.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Volume

Baofeng radios are good for portable AV

I have five Baofeng radios and apart from a small problem with one of the chargers there was no problem. I've had no trouble hand-programming them, although that seems to be the most common complaint.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Good value for money for two-way radios

This is a amateur radio and requires a license to operate. When you consider how much you're paying, you get more value. Unlike many "top tier" radios, they do not pick up flight frequencies in AM (which airplanes use), but are very useful for repeaters and FM 2M/440 use. They are very durable and ergonomic. Like almost all radios, they come with a basic rubber ducky antenna, so consider buying a better antenna for it if you need maximum range.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Baofeng radios are the best CB and radios

I have five Baofeng radios and apart from a small problem with one of the chargers I haven't had any problems. I've had no trouble hand-programming them, although that seems to be the most common complaint.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Poorly designed

Good radio so far. Easy to program with Chirp.

Just a reminder, you should consider getting an amateur radio license if you're looking to purchase this radio. Transmits on frequencies where you must be a licensed amateur radio operator. I bought it as a backup radio. That was a great offer from Revain Warehouse. Brand new in box, never opened but looks old. The box was in perfect condition but the inner plastic shell was cracked. The instructions are ok and I've seen better ones. You can search for tutorial videos on YouTube. The radio…

Best Baofeng radios in the radio

I have five Baofeng- Radios and no small problem. There were no problems with one of the chargers. I've had no trouble hand-programming them, although that seems to be the most common complaint.

Pros
  • 0-9 VOX classes to choose from, PTT and ANI ID, FM radio 65-108MHz, 1750Hz packet transmission, timeout timer
Cons
  • Doubtful older purchase

Great service radio at a fantastic price.

This is my third BF radio from BaofengTech and it is very impressive. I've even spilled well this season with this one strapped to my chest. It was spring skiing so (we) got pretty wet! He never turned off the radio. Can't really tell this from a standard (not high power) radio, but we use a repeater so range is very difficult to verify. With a repeater on a mountain, I can transmit clearly from all directions, even down ravines. I hear the repeater on this one in the city (15-20 km) with a…

Pros
  • VFO and memory channel scan, alarm, tri-color backlight to choose from
Cons
