Essential for model trains. Clean the splints well before applying. When applied, use it very easily. After several applications let the train run, carefully wipe the rails, engine and wheels of the rolling stock. Before using this I always cleaned the rails and wheels and my engine was still jerking very badly. Having not applied any special oxide, my engines have never run so smoothly. I can even crawl my engines without stopping. I used it once 4 months ago and my motors still run just as smooth and I haven't done anything to the rails since. Good product. I wish I had known years ago. A 2 ounce bath will last me a long time.
