Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best things we've ever bought

I bought this collar out of desperation, we adopted a puppy from a shelter, his mother was a victim of a puppy factory and was taken to a shelter. Our puppy was born in a shelter and we adopted him at 7 weeks old. He was a Labrador Retriever, tall for his age, affectionate and very sweet. Fast forward 5 months, he refused to use the potty, couldn't resist jumping on people, biting, dominating every toy, every pillow, every foot he could grab, yanking at your pant legs and you to stumble, he was a dog from hell we tried everything to train him, positive reinforcement, treats, praise, scolding, exclusion, you name it we tried. We were not new to puppy training, we have had several young dogs and puppies that were great dogs that were well behaved and made a great family member and companion. Not this dog. As a last resort we bought this collar, it improved our relationship with our pet. Most of the time we use adjustable vibrations for correction, press a button, it gets its attention and we can direct it with a "no" or "down" command. If he ignores the signal, for example when he is chasing cars, we can give him an electrostimulator (which is also adjustable), he will immediately stop the behavior and we will give the command "no" again. After 2 weeks of very little electrical stimulation, our dog began learning his boundaries and behaviors. Our grandchildren are no longer afraid of him and my elderly husband no longer wonders if our dog will jump on him and push him down the stairs. The collar and remote control are rechargeable, with the collar battery only lasting around 48 hours and the remote control twice as long. However, it is worth the money! Thank you Dogtra for a great product.
