<edit update> See what happened to us and then come back and read all the reviews with photos just to know that we had the same worst fault was for everyone else, I had to revise my rating from 4 to 1 star! There has to be a birth defect in this device to see all types of RV have the same melted or melted candle problem. Unfortunately, my return window is now closed, so I lost $100, but if anyone asks me for a recommendation for this device, my answer is a resounding NO. I have one of these 30 amp protectors for our Summer 2 Remember 2020 and prior to our first 5 campsites it worked great until we got to Joplin MO KOA. We had problems with the electricity there, we only stayed there and when it was time to leave in the morning I found that the surge arrester was stuck to the base. I was able to pull it out with some effort and found that one of the pins had melted and showed signs of a problem. I'm not sure if we had an over voltage or short or what happened but I was a little shocked when I saw it on the unit's pins and no red lights on the panel.
