All it took to ruin my 4 year old ex-pocket digital camera was a careless drop off the breakfast table - the fragile body bent and the lens jammed; This experience convinced me that rugged reliability outweighs both "cuteness" and pocket-sized convenience. I was intrigued by several reviews describing the design of the DSC-H10 and my wife's satisfaction with her Sony SLR; The DSC-H10 is only slightly larger than "pocket digital cameras" and I find it much more comfortable than a much larger SLR. I shoot construction sites, special projects, tenders and family gatherings, so my needs aren't a shirt pocket form factor. One of the great designs of this camera is the body (it fits comfortably in the right hand, of course). I'll probably never use the 10 minute view/sound/motion video feature but the wide screen, crystal clear focus and picture modes are wonderful. Plan to order Sony's special body too - and don't keep this camera in your shirt pocket - just expect it to fire when you need it.
