This mug is as strong as steel and much easier to put on and keep clean than steel. No other plastic cup I've used is as durable as this one, and I've used many of these multiple times a week playing adult hockey for the past 11 years. My shock doctor cups broke in half while climbing the boards. It will never be this one. It also offers enough space for men's stuff. Many men find that the narrow cups, which are great for moving around on ice, turf or mat, are too small inside and space is tightened where more space is needed. Not so with this mug. I found the shell very comfortable to wear; did not notice all this during the game; and didn't realize it until I leaned against him and clambered over the boards. There is no return. However, it's so well designed that it doesn't really need to be gifted. Radical design is based on functionality, not tradition. Before going to the rink, you had to carefully put on the waist and leg loops at home. When set up correctly, they didn't cut my legs. As with the iconic Jofa mug, men may find it more comfortable to place a regular cloth bandage under the mug. Just make sure you have everything in when you put the mug on, otherwise it's worse than not wearing the mug at all. I was happy to see that replacement parts were available for the components that might wear out first. I've worn this mug to half a dozen games. Will post an update if my mind changes. I have a yellow adult model.
