Review on Nikon Coolpix B500 Digital Camera (Black): A Powerful Photography Companion by Tyler Kota

After 5 weeks of waiting after ordering this camera, it finally arrived. Great camera, easy to use and takes great pictures. I would give it 5 stars except that after a little over 2 years of ownership it won't turn on. The guarantee is no longer valid. After scouring the internet I've done all the troubleshooting steps but it still won't turn on. This turned out to be a very common problem. I contacted Nikon and they referred me to their repair service. $163.00 is the estimated cost of repair plus shipping, handling and round trip insurance. I will not send it in for repairs as the cost is well over half the price I paid. It may not be Nikon's top of the line product but I expect a camera of this price to last 2+ years. There will be no more Nikon products in the future. Terrible customer service and a company that doesn't stand behind their product.
