These straps held the bike up the entire ride to get to my customer. However, the end is so worn that it no longer fits in the gear hole. I also pinned the loose ends. That hasn't happened to me with any other tape I've ever owned. Even the ones I've used for decades haven't worn out yet. I'm disappointed in them, especially since it happened in just a 150 mile ride. If I want to keep using them I'll probably have to cut off the worn part and reheat the nylon, but this will reduce the length of the strap by about a foot. The camera is good quality and the mechanism is solid but the strap itself, I'm not sure if it was worth the money I paid for it. I'm sorry guys I really wanted to love these belts but they are fine in their current configuration.
