You get what you pay for. That's a saying I should have learned when I was my age. Unfortunately, I have not. Although the stand is heavy and fairly secure, all of the connecting parts are mostly made out of plastic or cheap metal. After two uses, the camera mount has broken off and is no longer holding the ball head, and the spring stretches dangerously when extra weight is added. I personally wouldn't trust my $1,000 phone to that crap. Since it's difficult to send something that big back, I'll just throw it away and add it to the Lessons Learned section.
