This is definitely what you pay for in a toothbrush. I bought this in a crisis to replace my Sonicare. Brand name batteries have depreciated significantly in value in the 15+ years that I have owned them. It's not as gentle as a toothbrush and not even as accurate as the well-known brands. 5 speeds is such a thing, honestly not sure if there is a difference between 3 out of 5. The bristles on the heads are very soft and don't really feel like they're massaging the gums much. The handle itself weighs about half as much as a well-known branded toothbrush. To be honest, this toothbrush is useless. Very messy as the battery vibrates so much it slings the toothpaste everywhere and it's amazing how much it vibrates because you're not actually brushing your teeth. I honestly wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Spend the extra $13 and get a quality toothbrush.
