I used this to secure a very large closet door.
I used it to protect a very large cupboard door that you prefer to leave open and that pushes you away with a little force. This latch holds it very well and releases very well as it should when you press on the cabinet door. I even tugged on the door to see if the latch would move and it just held tight. There are no installation instructions, but using a bold marker on the back of the pen allows it to be placed exactly where it needs to be. I also think this is a beautiful unit.
