Review on KINBOOFI TINHIFI T2 Plus: Cutting-Edge IEM Dynamic HiFi Headphones for Musicians and Audiophiles by Jennifer Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Overall very good headphones but there are a few things to note

These are great headphones :) The sound is very balanced compared to my previous pair of Skullcandy Ink'd 2 headphones which I think excellent headphones are, but the high/mid frequencies are much cleaner in TIN Audio T2. The variety of ear pads/earbuds is much appreciated as I've tried them all to find the one that suits them. The cable is light but strong, very long and cool in my opinion. It's great that there's a plastic bead on the cable to shorten the section that separates for each earbud, just for more customization. Ok, about the bad. Metal earplugs may definitely hurt your ears a little after wearing them for more than 1 hour. If you have ears like mine and the earbuds aren't rotated/tilted properly in my ears, the back of the earbuds will be pushed against a hard edge, which can be quite uncomfortable. I found a way to fit the earbuds in my ears so they don't hurt, but that may take some trial and error. If the ear tips were plastic, they would likely cause much less pain, if any. Worst of all, however, were the seemingly pointless plastic grommets on the cable, which were only added to bend the cables and potentially interfere with the headphones. to hell with the user. I've researched the reviews and Q&A here on Revain and found that no one else has mentioned those damn plastic cases. I only found one post on Reddit that mentioned someone was talking about them and that they also didn't like that the cables are kinked and can't be straightened. I've tried stacking tons of heavy textbooks over the ends of the headphone cords and straightening the plastic grommets. It didn't work I assumed the plastic grommets were there to prevent fraying or damaging the cables. But unfortunately they only kink the cable and make it easier for the headphones to fall out. So I cut these plastic sleeves off with nail clippers since I didn't have enough small scissors or a seam ripper. I cut the plastic piece by piece. It took 3 hours BUT FINALLY I had perfectly straight cables, no plastic wrap, and they worked exactly as I expected. I don't know why TIN Audio put plastic jacks on the cables at all. But be aware that if you buy this product, you probably won't like the curved cord like I do. So get ready for a lot of work to cut them down before you can really enjoy these great headphones. Much luck!
