The instructions supplied are vague and completely omits the reprogramming of the on/off switch which has to be done in quick succession or within split seconds of each on/off switch! A 1-2 second delay between turning the key on and off will not cause the car lock/computer to go into programming mode! (Also, On = headlights on, Off = headlights off, and steering still unlocked!) While the guide includes all the factory keyless remotes, the guide also completely omits that you have to press the button at the factory as well. Remotes to reprogram or reprogram factory keyless remotes too. Otherwise the factory keyless remotes are useless after reprogramming/key changing! Not sure if the additional programming procedures for my 2005 car require not touching the brake pedal or closing the doors etc. Quality: The quality of these plastic keyless remotes seems to vary significantly/slightly/noticeably in texture/color , but apparently works the same. I have not compared the transmission/communication distance between these replacement keyless remotes and my factory keyless remotes. One thing I also didn't notice is the quality of the electronics or the low-level programming of these keyless remotes, and also, unlike OEM keyless remotes, do they have any security risks?
