We bought this mirror/lamp for our 12 year old daughter for Christmas. I have to say it was great for the first 4 months. We would like. Daughter used it all the time. The light was a fun addition and she loved doing her makeup in front of the mirror at her desk. After 4 months it started flickering and the power cord/plug started overheating. Eventually the lights went out and it smelled like the house was about to burn down. We still use it without light. I have contacted the company for a replacement light kit but they are NOT responding. I have not received any bounced emails. For a product that cost me $179, I think it should have lasted longer than 4 months. Not to mention the fire hazard. Buy wisely and don't expect service.
